“Those of you who know me, know that these days, I very seldom review anywhere unless they inspire or delight me. Well I've just stumbled across an absolute gem on Portobello High Street, ( @traade_space), and I’m already planning my return visit. This spot is such a refreshing mix of things I love: a carefully curated vintage store and a charming café, all under one roof. The vibe is effortlessly cool but still warm and welcoming. If you can imagine handpicked/curated retro clothing, beautiful ceramics, and shelves of thoughtfully chosen goods you’ll probably want to take home immediately. Coffee-wise? Top marks. Their flat white is smooth, rich, and clearly made with care (honestly one of the best I’ve had in Edinburgh recently), and the pastries look dangerously good, flaky, buttery, and just the right kind of indulgent. Perfectly located right on Portobello High Street, it's a short stroll from the beach, which makes it ideal for a pre-walk caffeine boost or a post-sea-breeze warm-up. Plus, you're surrounded by other lovely independents and local favourites, making this a great little corner of Edinburgh to explore for an afternoon. Highly recommend popping in if you're into vintage, design, or just good coffee in good company.”
