“Having enjoyed the food Guisados served up at previous taproom pop ups in Edinburgh, I got a group of friends together to go to The Bullfinch, promising they would enjoy it. They did; we ordered everything off the menu (plus 2 x some of the dishes) to share so everyone tried a bit of everything, enjoyed it all and plan to go again. Portions and quality are great value for the price (was £20 a head including a well deserved tip for all the lovely staff) the level of seasoning and spice is bang on and I believe the dishes to be authentic and true to proper regional Mexican cooking (he even makes his own corn tortillas). Hard to pick a favourite, although I will say the Mole was the best I've ever tasted and this was echoed by my friend from the US who stated it was the best Mexican food she's had since relocating here. Muy auténtico y super sabroso!”
