“Our first (but not last) visit to Fudi bakery, a new Swiss bakery on Restalrig Road. We bought vanilla buns, a cinnamon bun with a hazelnut glaze and a Zopf (which essentially looks a bit like a challah bread but I think it’s supposed to be less sweet or contain less sugar. The vanilla bun was light and had a delicious creamy filling. The cinnamon bun was so tasty and had the usual cinnamon flavour but the hazelnut glaze on top just brought it to another level. Haven’t had the Zopf yet but look forward to trying that later! Thanks guys it was nice to talk to you this morning and look forward to our next visit 😊”

“Got a Too Good To Go bag from here. Very cute little place. The pastries were tasty and they even gave away a mozzarella and tomatoes mini baguette. The bread was really nice as well. I also got two of those little brioche-like buns and they were so soft and good even the next day. There was also another small bun in the bag which I think was made of wholemeal spelt flour. Despite of being wholemeal it was so light and tasty. They were amazing with scrambled eggs and bacon in the next morning. I am really impressed and will be back for more. I also got a whole loaf on top of that which I am yet to try so it is amazing value. Very friendly service as well. Edit I found a long black hair in my pastry today. Others had this problem too which is not very reassuring.”

“Finally, a decent local bakery on Restalrig Road! Fudi's bread, rolls, pies and pastries are excellent - and really well priced. It's so good it usually sells out before lunchtime, so get in there fast. Staff are super nice, too. Couldn't be happier to live just around the corner, thanks folks!”
