What customers say
★★★★★“We had a great experience with White Lettings from start to finish. Communication was clear and timely, and the team were always professional, friendly, and happy to help. Everything was handled efficiently, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. We really appreciated their support and would happily recommend them to others looking for a reliable letting agency.”
★★★★★“Karen McDonald was a huge help for me at White Lettings. When a landlord was looking to sell the property I was renting she was an absolute life-saver and put me first for finding a new property within the agency when I needed a the help. Always polite and quick to reply, even out of regular office hours.”
★★★★★“I recently enquired about viewing a property listed by White Lettings and was contacted by the property manager, Karen McDonald, who asked to speak with me about my “situation.” As I am returning to the UK after a period working in the US, I assumed this was routine. During the call, I was immediately questioned about my employment, proof of income, and whether I could afford the property. I offered to provide standard documentation, including bank statements and payroll records. Despite this, I was told I would need to submit my entire financial record in order for affordability to be assessed, and my offer of bank statements was dismissed with the comment that “anyone can provide those and then simply withdraw the funds.” This was particularly confusing given that White Lettings uses a third-party referencing service as part of its standard process. Rather than allowing that service to objectively verify the information provided, assumptions appeared to be made in advance about my suitability as a tenant. If there were any upfront qualification concerns, these could have been addressed through tactful, standard qualifying questions, rather than framing the discussion around whether or not I could afford the property. The manner in which the conversation was handled felt unnecessary and, frankly, insulting.”
