“We thought we would give this new “Turkish” place a wee go. We initially tried ordering online but the system wasn’t working nor did we manage to get through on the phone so we were beginning to think it was closed. I took a run down and it was…open…hurray!! The facility was clean (and should hope so since it had only been open a few weeks) and quite modern. As I entered, I was getting chippy vibes not Turkish. But hey, I wasn’t letting this impact my experience. The lady that served me was nice and looked like she belonged there. She reminded me of a dinner lady. The other staff were busy working away and didn’t interact much with their customers. One young lass in particular was looking miserable who clearly couldn’t be bothered and didn’t want to be there. Anyway, the food. The menu offers a variety of Turkish dishes from doner kebabs (available in lamb, chicken, and mixed meat options) to falafel wraps, and grilled chicken shish. They also have their your standard “chippy” items like fish suppers, pizzas, burgers, sausages, some vegetarian options, and mezze sides like hummus and salad. There is so many options which usually means that the final product is diluted but no assumptions here, I was trying to be open. I decided to get a house special kebab which came in at £13. The wife got a doner and we shared some haggis fritters. The folks, who weren’t thrilled by the veggie options, got a couple of salads and shared a large chips. Before too long the food was bagged up and we were ready to dig in. Firstly, my special kebab was absolutely enormous! It could easily serve a family, and certainly too big for a normal person. I am not normal so I was fairly confident I could polish this off. By this point I was ravished so my mum and dad witnessed my savageness when digging into my meal. My mum was appalled and disgusted at seeing me ram the food down the gullet. She raised me better than this. So the food itself was, well what chippy’s are, meh. I did notice that I was given 2 tortilla bread instead of 1 tortilla and 1 pitta. All the meats and veg are laid on top of both tortillas and it was quite a task to create your own wrap. The meat had fine flavour but lacked tenderness as it was quite chewy. I got a couple of sauces to got with it which were good. My wife fairly enjoyed her doner although the meat wasn’t very juicy and she has had far better kebabs before. Mum and dad were satisfied with their chips and salad. The chips were chunky and distributed evenly with sauce. The haggis fritters were not bad, quite flavoursome but lacked outer crisp. Overall, despite my greediness (I’ll eat anything), this place isn’t really my cuppa tea. I intentionally try and stay away from greasy, unhealthy, fast food so this was a one off. However, if you are looking to fill a whole, for a reasonable price, without caring much about quality then this local joint may be a good option.”

“Food absolutely disgusting tonight The fish God knows wot kind it is .the batter was not good Battered sausage and hamburg Binned. Own fault when ordered probably lying there for long long time there was 16vbattered sausages and 12 hamburg own fault was going to leave them wheen seen them all .time waited on fish could have made fresh ones they where disgusting. Soft soggy batter fallen of soon touched them disgusting”

“Waited ages for chips to be ready only for them to be taken for deliveries. Finally got served. Mince pie supper was half a tray of chips with the pie beside them. Total rip off. I don't recommend this place at all and I definitely won't be back”
