What customers say

First time there. We were visiting Cramond Beach, so impressive. After walking for a long time we ended Up there. First impresion was very quite but when you are in, It is even more quite!. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the lady behind the bar very friendly. We tried a very nice local lager beer and the Hunter chicken main course. It was good enough. We are Happy to come back again. Highly recommended after your visit around the area.

A classic Samuel Smith pub : no music and no WiFi! a place to meet people, talk, play darts or games, enjoy a warm fire or the lovely view on the Firth of the Forth 😊 Perfect spot before or after a walk around, to meet your friends. Selection of Samuel Smith drinks : beers, wines, alcohols, juices, softs. The fruit beers are all as good as each other, and organic! 😍 Food is value for money, classic pub food. Workers are lovely and friendly. Great place!

Lovely wee old pub by the beach, used to pop in for pints and light bites after taking a walk along cramond. Went in today for the first time in a couple years and wow, I think the photos speak volumes… we got a small portion of sunday roast each, and I thought they brought us a pie by accident when the food arrived. We were served two flat half raw “yorkshire pudding” and a few slices of really dry overcooked pork. We took the food back to the bar and just wanted to let them know the food was uncooked but we will just leave it, didnt ask for a replacement or a refund until the so called chef decided to come confront us, so we just gave him our honest opinion on the food. We were then served with stinking attitude and straight up rudeness, because apparently “10 months I have worked here I have never seen you” implying we dont know better. We ended up going to the bar to ask for our money back because the audacity to serve that on a plate and then be rude about it is crazy. The man at the bar is lovely and polite, chef clearly is incompetent to cook or communicate properly *lol @ owner thinking his response ate, just like how the chef thinks he can cook 😂*
