“I ordered food via Deliveroo today and paid £9.10 for a fried fish extra, excluding the price of other items. Upon opening my order, I was shocked to discover that I had been served only the head of a fish, with no prior indication or clarification that this is what would be provided. I immediately contacted the restaurant to express my concern and seek a resolution. Initially, I spoke with a staff member before the manager (female) took over the call. Rather than addressing the issue professionally, I was told that I should have called the restaurant beforehand to state that I do not eat fish head, that “all their customers request fish head,” and that nothing would be done to resolve the issue because I sounded upset. I was also spoken to in a disrespectful manner and accused of being rude and mannerless simply for expressing my dissatisfaction. I find this response deeply unprofessional and unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and for issues to be handled courteously, regardless of tone or emotion — especially when the complaint is valid. At no point should a customer be insulted or dismissed for raising a concern about an order they paid for. If this is the standard of service provided, then I believe there is significant room for improvement in customer relations and complaint handling. I would appreciate this matter being reviewed and an appropriate resolution provided.”

“My partner and I booked in for dinner short notice. It’s a fairly simple little setting, clean, pleasant environment, very chill. Very much feels family-run. The food is exceptionally good. As an example of just delicious tasty food, it’s definitely worth visiting. It’s also fairly cheap, and lots of options for vegetarians and gluten free. Especially if you like spice!”
